Respecting the humanity of each person is a essential part of of our criminal justice system. For far too long we have ignored the gaps in our criminal justice system that impact families every day. From the disproportionally of incarnation rates to the over-sentencing of non-violent crimes. Reform for the criminal justice systems starts at the state level.

Why is this important to me?

Criminal justice reform isn’t just about second chances, it is about helping each person in our community so that they have the resources to prevent being arrested in the first place.


  • Less money towards prison and more to rehabilitation and recidivism program

  • Supporting prison education programs with more funding and resources

  • Remove mandatory minimums for non-violent drug crimes

  • Limit the use of solitary confinement
